Description
This is a well-preserved 3-string wood prima balalaika, made in the Soviet Union, new strings, bridge & pins. Similar to ones sold for the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games, but unbranded with no decals or decorations. Fretboard in excellent condition, not warped. New strings (two nylon E strings and one steel A string). Plays well. Body in excellent condition. Scan shows details of body, including a shot of the interior label showing it was made in the Soviet Union. One minor crack has been repaired by a luthier. Measures 27" from top of neck to the tail pins. Instrument will be shipped via FedEx and double-boxed with bubble wrap and cushioning material.
