ANTIQUE MAP OF NEVADA & NEW HAMPSHIRE, 1921, from World Atlas, Flip side - Vermont/New Hampshire. For auction is a map of Nevada cut from the World Atlas and Gazetteer.   The map is in good mountable condition except for the lower margin which is frayed.  The lower portion of the map is a listing of Nevada counties and Principal Cities and Towns.  The buyer would have two choices (1) cut the bottom of the page right below the actual map and then mount it, or (2) carefully reconstruct the bottom portion with rubber cement.  All of the county/city/town legend is present so it is a matter of pasting the ripped  fragments together - really, not a difficult job (but I'm not going to do it).  However, the real treasure of the map is the city and town listings (which are all located on the map) because perhaps 50 per cent no longer exist or are ghost towns.  I've lived in Nevada for over 40 years and I have never heard of many of the towns that I assume were mining towns of short existence.  The majority of these towns are no longer indicated on modern maps.  The map by itself is about 11" x 9".  The page is 14" x 9 1/2".  If you don't like the Nevada map, turn it over for a 1921 map of New Hampshire and Vermont.
