    Description

Vintage Russian Balalaika 1975 Good Condition
Good condition; no structural damage, cracks, repairs or warping. There is some light cosmetic damage overall, mostly a few places concentrated on the face or top of the instrument
    (superficial finish scraps)
and also around the edge where the flat top and the segmented body meet (pictures 7 and 8 show examples). The written labels are inside the body of the instrument directly underneath the tone holes.
We do not have a viable way available to translate the labels and so that information is not presented here.
We took pictures of the labels by dropping some micro-LED lights into the body and aiming the camera lens through the very small tone hole, which is only 3/4 of an inch in diameter. The instrument is 26 7/8 inches long (headstock to endpins) and 17 inches wide (bottom corner to corner). The finger board (black section with frets running the length of the neck) is 10 1/2 inches long and 1 7/8 inches wide. The tuning pegs are in good mechanical order and the bridge and end pins are in good condition. The back of the body is beautifully assembled and made up of 7 segmented sections. The wood is very dry overall and and the top is slightly grimy but it should really come to life with an appropriate cleaning and oiling. We do not clean or polish or conduct cosmetic repair. Please see pictures.
